About Frank Bequaert
My wife Lucia and I ran Bequaert Old Books for over thirty years starting with a shop we opened in Fitzwilliam New Hampshire back in the days before the internet. For the last fifteen years in the business, we were selling on the internet. I am thus fully aware of how the book services that sell used books on the internet developed from a new way by which book dealers could expand their business to a swamp full of badly listed books.
I am now working with a public library to assist them in finding the more valuable books donated to their library sales. This work has require me to view the swamp from a user’s point of view. I am also now working on a memoir of the delightful thirty years Lucia and I were in the used book business. I’ll occasionally post excerpts from that memoir.
I hope this site will make it a little easier for you to purchase books on the internet.
